West Lancashire Scouts Mountaineering Group Newsletters and Mailing Lists

Over the past few years, West Lancashire Scouts Mountaineering Group has been affiliated to The BMC, which is the representing body for climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers.

It is not necessary to be a member of West Lancs Scouts Mountaineering Group, to participate upon the Group's events, however if you wish to become a member then contact Geoff Lyons as secretary of the Group. As a member you also become an associate member of the BMC and discount at local outdoor shops.

There are many people within West Lancashire Scouts that are interested in and participate in Land Activities, that are not members of the Mountaineering Group. Contacting these people has always been a little hit and miss, therefore at the 2009 AGM it was decided to create an online mailing list, to which people can subscribe / unsubscribe.
